Bean Bag Crazy
This is the new e-commerce site for Bean Bag Crazy who sell their own range of beanbags, merchandise and other accessories. This site was built in a freelance web developer capacity for The Code Pharmacy

This project consisted of the creation of a Magento based website from a series of flat PSD files. A custom theme, layout XML, pages and blocks were added, the front end developed and the back end configured to best suit the clients needs.

a-ha
This is the official site of the band a-ha. Most famous in the UK for their song "Take on me" released in 1985. This site was built in a freelance web developer capacity for Aspire Design Studios in London.
- Design built from a series of PSD files into a custom Wordpress theme
- Creation of the multilingual news section including an administration system for users to read and submit articles in various languages
- Development of the front and back end plugins for the tour management section. The plugins were written to seamlessly integrate with the Wordpress framework and the MySQL database.
- Coding of the flexible and animated discography section using javascript frameworks such as jQuery and Mootools
This project consisted of the creation of a Wordpress based website from a series of flat PSD files. As well as creating bespoke themes for Wordpress, a number of plugins were also developed for the Wordpress framework.

The Red Lion
This is the website for The Red Lion in Water End, near Berkhampstead in Hertfordshire. The Red Lion is a modern interpretation of the original public house. This site was built in a freelance capacity with Synthesis Design

- Secure, public photo upload section with administrative "vetting" and publication area
- Secure and optimised MySQL database, managing aspects such as photographs, news, events, recruitment and contact forms
- PHPList based mailing system which has been integrated into the site's contact details database, which can be edited from the administration section of the website
This project consisted of the complete design and build of a bespoke CMS system to allow the administrative users to manage all aspects of the site as well as bookings and email marketing campaigns.

The Pitch
This is the website for The Pitch film competition which took place in 2009. Prospective film-makers were given the opportunity to make a short film with professional production support. Winners were flown to Hollywood and introduced to film industry professionals to advise them on taking their skills to the next level. The project was taken on a freelance basis with Redder Ltd.
- Creation of secure YouTube clone to show submitted videos
- PHP based classes combined with Linux based FFMPEG plugin to encode any type of submitted video to an FLV format
- Applicant film submission, judging and administrative areas

This is the website for Technojobs, one of the largest online recruitment specialists for the technical and creative industries throughout Europe. Written in a freelance capacity directly with client.
- Ongoing development of new sections to keep up with the fluidity of the jobs market
- Large object orientated code base with constant updates to keep the site secure and ensure it's smooth running
- Extremely large database of jobs and personal details which requires regualar maintenance and optimisation
- Creation of a jobs by email section to run daily and inform users of any new jobs which may be of interest to them
- Linux based system to daemonise tasks into engines and run in memory to avoid server slowdown
This project consisted of various updates and new developments on a massive and popular website. Developments have included featured jobs, jobs by area, improved search capacity and jobs by email.

This is the website for Tring Rugby club in Hertfordshire. One of the south-easts most sucessful amateur rugby union clubs. This site was built in a freelance capacity with Synthesis Design

- Various sign-up forms for new and returning players, linked directly into the PayPal system
- Targeted news, events and team details (fixtures & results) for logged in users that are in a particular group
- Levels of administrative access to allow coaches and VPs to update team information, fixtures, results, news and events
- PHP, XHTML and CSS based with some javascript and a large MySQL database

This is the website for Freelance UK, a huge source of information for freelancers from a number of creative industries as well as a section for people to advertise themselves and for businesses to find freelancers to assist them on projects. Written in a freelance capacity directly with client.
- Recurring billing system using ProtX integration
- Development and updating of various areas throughout the site
- A freelancer messaging system for discussion between registered users or visitors using email authentication
- Re-Captcha integration with all forms, messaging systems and forums
- Object orientated PHP based with a very large MySQL database
This project consisted of various updates and new developments including a messaging system for registered and anonymous users to use. Other developments include location and alphabetical filters and added functionality to the profile section.

This is the website for Contractor UK, a huge source of information for contractors from a number of industriesThe site also boasts a number of online calculators for calculations such as dividend tax, corporation tax and IR35. Written in a freelance capacity directly with client.
- A number of calculators built using PHP and JavaScript
- MySQL database containing various data pertaining to the site including fixed variables for the calculators that can be changed by admin users
- The creation of an Urgent contracts section for users to find work quickly and easily
- A daemonized CURL based engine to pull jobs relevant to a search from a number of affiliated job search sites such as Technojobs, CWJobs, JobServe and The IT Job Board
This project consisted of various updates and new developments including a CURL based contact search wizard that simultaneously searches several sites for relevant positions and various calculators to help contractors work out such figures as VAT, IR35 and Dividend tax.

This is the website for Naafi, who since 1921 have provided men and women of the armed forces with an important link to home through food and facilities offered all over the world. The project was taken on a freelance basis with Redder Ltd.

- A news section with downloadable PDFs of news articles and events
- A secure enquiry form with CAPTCHA based authentication
